Howl-O-Ween 2018

Let me start by saying, happy November! I can’t believe how fast the second half of the year always seems to fly by!

This is obviously due to the fact that the later months bring us so much to look forward to. October has been no different. Between birthdays, Halloween parties, haunted houses, and of course dog howl-o-ween parties – our weekends have been booked solid!

So I wanted to give you a little recap of what we did with our dog, Cash for Halloween.

My cousin @raegancg and fellow blogger, author of Main Street Chic, reached out to me and invited me to a Howl-O-Ween event she was hosting along with a few of her college classmates.

The event took place at Wicked Barley Brewing Company in Jacksonville, FL on October 29th.

The venue is such a cool location, I’ve been there once before for another blogger event so I knew the location would be very content/blogger friendly, haha! The inside is a big open space complete with a bar, long high tops, and even a view of their in-house distillery. Take a walk outside and you will find a covered patio with lots of picnic tables (bc their menu is bomb!) Take a few steps off the patio and you’ve got an open outdoor area with more picnic tables, games, outdoor bar, walk-on dock overlooking the water, and a cozy sandy seating area with big Adirondack chairs!

This outdoor area is where we spent most of our time. Cash made his rounds upon arrival and was sure to meet and annoy every dog in attendance! Once he met everyone, we sat in the Adirondack chairs and let Cash roll around and cool down in the sand while we sipped our craft beer.

After that we walked over to where all the excitement was! We bobbed for bones, took pictures at the photo booth, bought tickets for the raffle, and entered in the costume contest… and WON ;)

The event lasted from 5-10pm and 10% of all profits were donated to the Jacksonville Humane Society.

It was so fun to get out and do something different for Halloween! It was also a dream come true getting to hang out with other dogs dressed as pumpkins, tacos, delivery men, and more – all the while sipping on local craft beer and helping support local causes! I hope to do it again next year.
