The BARK Experience~

If you read my first post {here} you know that I am a big fan of The Bark Boutique!
Aside from their wide array of quality dog foods > goods > and accessories etc. They offer a variety of services such as grooming > training > day care > and boarding… But you can read about all that fun jazz on the website linked above! I wanted to share with you the delightful experience Tyler, Cash, and I had at The Bark Boutique one evening this past weekend.

One thing I love about The Bark is the everything is naturally/organically made. My favorite pet shampoo is this all natural TropiClean dog shampoo! I ran out so I went ahead and picked up a new bottle. I usually grab the shampoo for White Coats but since we have little Carlos now, I decided to switch things up and try Flea & Tick prevention… I’ll admit, the citrus-y scent was also a contributing factor.
Another pro about this  pet shampoo is that one bottle will last you a very long time! It doesn’t take much at all, the more you scrub the more you sud! Take it from me, I have 3 dogs and until now I haven’t bought a bottle in months!
*Tip- shampoo infused with oatmeal is good for pets with dry skin*

Another must-grab when we visit is this ice-cream mix for dogs! There are a variety of flavors to choose from! I usually go for anything peanut butter (I like to assume my dogs are partial to anything peanut butter because of the delicious homemade dog treats I make them) but in the spirit of trying new things we switched it up and went a little crazy!
Maple Bacon!
When you get home all you need to do is add a little bit of warm water to the carton of ice-cream mix and freeze for a few hours. Once frozen, serve to your dog and watch them lose their shit. You’ll be the  best dog-mom on the block.

Our final-grab is usually at the oh-so adorable and affordable, self-serve, bakery bar!

This trips treat-grabs consisted of

  • 4 homemade cranberry bones  (4 for $1)
  • 4 homemade peanut butter bones (4 for $1)
  • 3 homemade sweet potato cinnamon circles (3 for $1)
  • 2 frosted circular treats that look like mini donuts ($1.75/each)

I keep all of my dog treats in this cute little jar that I found at the Dollar Tree! I keep it in the freezer to keep things fresh.

Some other things to check out when you stop in… They have the most unique collection of collars and accessories!

I walked out loving all my purchases and spending right at $35! My dogs love me for it too, I’m sure.
Another item I purchased on this trip are the two chew toys on the left pictured below. Durable, and in my opinion hard as a rock. Good for keeping the big dogs entertained for a while!

If you ever go check out The Bark Boutique in Riverside, leave me a comment here!  Let me know if your Bark experience~ was as good as mine!
